Sophia and her parents came over for dinner and to play last night. After dinner, we heard these two laughing up a storm. We went to see what was so funny. We found out they were playing "light sticks" with the crayons and thought it was hilarious!
Oh, how the laughter of little ones can make your heart smile!

Brothers
Yesterday was a rainy day, so we had fun at home playing! Mason and Hudson have started playing together more. Or at least playing with the same things, so I snapped some pictures yesterday. Mason loves to play with puzzles, so Hudson joined in the action yesterday.
Hudson wants anything and everything that Mason has. Being the sweet big brother that he is, Mason gave him this toy to play with (i.e. chew on).
Next thing I knew there was a band playing. I had gone to do some laundry and when I returned Mason was drumming and Hudson was playing the bells and tamborine. It was noisy, but they were having a blast!

Following in his brother's footsteps
Hudson has graduated to sitting in the bathtub like a big boy this week. I can't believe he is big enough to sit and play, but he is. Mason likes taking a bath and splashing with him, too, which makes our job easier because we can get them both bathed at the same time.

Up and going!
Hudson has not been happy staying in one place lately. Whether we have him playing on the floor, jumping in his jumper, or swinging, he doesn't seem to be content for long. So, I decided to get out the walker. From the first second that I put him in, he was grinning from ear to ear and cruising all over the house. He is a pro at moving backwards and has figured out that by jumping he can move forward. I will say I have a much happier camper on my hands, thanks to the walker!

First Day of School
Today was Mason's first day back at school. He was excited to go and be in the "big kid" class this year. Last year we had a difficult time at drop off throughout the whole year, with crying every day. So I have to say I was a little skeptical to drop him off because I didn't want him to cry. Well, I had nothing to worry about. He ran right into the classroom and started playing without even looking back to Scott or me. We both kissed him goodbye and he was on with his day. It is amazing what a summer of growing and a year of difficult goodbyes can bring. I think he is going to have an amazing year and I look forward to all of the things he will learn with Mrs. Sara and Mrs. Andrea!
With Daddy before heading out. Doesn't he look so big?
