Parties, Parties, Parties!

My sweet girlfriends, Whitney and Katie, had a Big Brother Party for Mason. The guests brought books for Mason and Hudson to share. Then Katie and Whitney had cupcakes, juice and goldfish for the Mommy's and kiddos. It was so much fun! Thanks girls!

Here we are trying to get a good shot of the Mommy's and kids. Not too bad, right?

Then we had snow! Can you believe it? Mason loved getting all bundled up and playing in the snow with Daddy. Scott would throw a snowball at him and he couldn't figure out what happened to it when it hit the ground. We could barely get him to come in after we finally let him go outside to play.

Then we had a Christmas Party with all of our friends from Austin. Amy and Trey had us over for yummy treats, games and just plain 'ol fun!

And finally, Mason had his Christmas party at school on Wednesday. The kids iced and decorated sugar cookies, then ate them of course! Then they had their Christmas program yesterday. It was quite an ordeal for 2-4 year olds to try and hold their attention to do a play.
I hope you all are getting in the Christmas spirit! Merry Christmas!

Breakfast with Santa

I had to get a Christmas tree shot before heading to Breakfast with Santa at Mason's school on Saturday. He loves our tree. He turns the lights on and off for us and examines the ornaments. Scott bought the train to go around the tree and Mason loves that too!

I couldn't believe he actually sat in Santa's lap and smiled. Up until Saturday, he would only wave at Santa or stand in front of him and stare. I was so proud of him for sitting in Santa's lap!

There were even crafts at breakfast. He made a snowman out of Oreo's, marshmellows, and M&M's. He was so proud showing off his masterpiece.

Mason and the girls were getting ready for their delicious breakfast. They had breakfast tacos, fruit and doughnut holes. They all had a great time!

It's beginning to look a lot like Christmas!

Scott and Mason putting the star on top.

Oh so carefully putting the ornaments on the tree.

Mason and Waverley at the Holiday in the Park night. They ate cookies, drank hot chocolate, looked at the Christmas lights and played. They had a great time!

Mason was so excited to see all of the lights and eat cookies. Maybe he had a little too much sugar!
The cold weather is really helping us get in the Christmas spirit. Mason is really into Christmas this year. He tells about Joseph, Mary and baby Jesus, loves singing Jingle Bells, Frosty the Snowman and Away in a Manger, and loves the Christmas lights. We are going to Breakfast with Santa in the morning, so we will see how he does with Santa. More pictures to come.....

Happy 2nd Birthday, Mason!

About a week late on posting, but Mason celebrated his 2nd birthday last Sunday. He had friends over to play games like Go Fish, Ring Toss, Bean Bag Throw and Bowling with Mickey Mouse and friends. Then he got to blow out the candles and eat cake and ice cream. This was Mason's favorite part of the party by far. The week before his birthday, he told everyone that all he wanted for his birthday was cake and ice cream!
The past two years have flown by. It is hard to believe that our baby is 2. He is so much fun and has a very loving, inquisitive personality. We are so blessed to have Mason as our little boy!

First Hunt!

Who do you think is more proud, Scott or Mason?

Our first family deer hunt.

Mom had a great dump truck for Mason to collect rocks in all weekend.

Mason and the girls playing one morning.

We went to the Ranch one last time before Hudson arrives. Mason, Scott and I all went out hunting Saturday afternoon. It was quite a chore keeping him quite while we waited for the perfect deer, but sure enough a good one came. Mason tells quite a story about his hunt. He says, "We shot it and gunned it and knocked it over!" It is super cute! Here are some pictures from our weekend and Mason playing with his cousins. We had a great time!

Here Comes Santa Clause

Ho, Ho, Ho Merry Christmas! Santa arrived at the mall last night, so Mason had to be there to greet him.

He was so excited waiting to see Santa come by on his sleigh.

Whitney, Will and Mason had fun playing while they waited for the festivities to begin.

Trunk or Treat

At Mason's school today they had Trunk or Treat. He had a blast! Happy Halloween to you all!

Phoenix and Visiting Gran

Mason on the plane heading to Phoenix. He loved it!

Reading with Gran after we got back to Austin.
We went to Phoenix to visit our good friends Sean and Jen this past weekend. Mason was so excited about flying in an airplane. As soon as we got on the plane, he was taking it all in. He LOVED flying! Friday and Saturday were so much fun in Phoenix. We just played, while Scott and Sean went to the Arizona State football game. However, that night things started to go downhill because Mason got a bad ear infection. We ended up at the Urgent Care office Sunday morning. Thankfully he was feeling a little better by Monday afternoon when we headed home. We got back to Austin late so we went to Gran's for a quick dinner and then a good book. It was a great ending to our trip!

The Pumpkin Patch

We took Mason to the pumpkin patch at his school tonight. He loved all of the pumpkins! He kept running up and down the aisles of pumpkins trying to pick them up. We finally settled on a smaller pumpkin more his size to take home. We will have to carve a pumpkin soon for Halloween! It was much easier last Halloween to get a cute picture because he would sit still. This year it was a little more challenging!

Yum, Yum, Halloween Cupcakes!

Mixing the ingredients to make some yummy Halloween cupcakes.

Putting the paper cups in the circles. Mason didn't quite understand why only one cup went in each space, but he got the hang of it. He wanted to put the whole stack in one spot!

Now they are ready to ice. Yum-Yum!

Our friends Katie, Jace and Riley got into the Halloween spirit with us. As you can see, Riley enjoyed eating the icing off of her hands better than putting it on the cupcake!

And the completed masterpieces! They were beautiful and tasty!

My Growing Boy

Mason is growing up so fast! I don't know if he seems to be getting so big because his little brother will be here before we know it or if two is just a magic age where they grow up right before your eyes. He is such a sweet little boy. I am so blessed to be his mommy!

Our New Office!

Okay, the pictures posted in the wrong order, but oh well! As many of you know I am feeling really guilty that I have not done much of anything to get ready for our new baby. So, this weekend my wonderful husband helped me get going. We cleaned out closets that had stuff just thrown into them so we could make room for our new office. The computer has been in the room that will soon be the baby's, so we had to move things around.
Scott had a great idea to turn a nice, big closet in our laundry room into the office. So, Sunday he tore out the bottom two shelves and repainted. We had a phone jack installed, as the closet already had a plug and light. Then last night, we moved the desk and computer into it's new home. It fit perfectly! I am so excited to have our new office and get working on our little guy's nursery. Hopefully I can talk Scott into putting the new crib together tonight!

Vroom, Vroom!

On the go!

So proud of his new 4 Wheeler. Thanks Dodie and PeeWee!

And he's off!
So it's been a while since I posted last. Things have been a little crazy lately. Aggie football has started so we have been busy watching the games, Mason is always on the go, our lab, Cash, has been under the weather and Scott celebrated his 30th birthday last week.
Mason loves the cooler weather the past few weeks. We spend a lot of our time on the back porch riding cars or "mowing" the grass. He also has a new 4 Wheeler that is his favorite outdoor activity now. We thought it would take a while for him to get the hang of powering the 4 Wheeler and steering, but he is a pro. It took him no time at all!
We are slowly, but surely getting things together for the baby. I can't believe I am almost in my third trimester. Wow, the time is flying! This week we are going to really start working on his nursery and getting our study moved so he has a room. We still don't have a name for the little guy, but we are working on it. The second little boy isn't quite as easy to come up with.

It's a BOY!!!!!

It's official, we found out Monday that our newest addition will be a little boy! We are so excited to add another little boy to our family. He gave us a clear shot of his boy stuff right away, but didn't want us to get a good look at his face. This is as good as we could get! He looks healthy and like everything is going smoothly. We can't wait to meet this little guy in January. I know so many of you have been praying for him already, thank you so much! We are now trying to come up with a name for our little guy, so if you have any suggestions, please pass them on.
